We bring experience in helping municipalities and utilities in developing incentive programs. The goal of these services is to optimize energy benefits against program spending. Procedures, timelines, and program requirements (information requirements from proponents) are the key deliverables.

With our experience conducting energy modelling reviews in Ontario, we were invited to participate in the last redesign of the HPNC program between 2016 and 2017. Working with the HPNC Sub‐group committee (consisting of the IESO and the largest LDCs in province), we provided recommendations to improve the HPNC program from both the Applicant’s and Project Reviewer’s perspective.

Some of the key recommendations included revising the HPNC program’s timeline/submission requirements with the industries construction timelines to improve program participation and making a sound argument to the IESO to remove the incremental cost requirement. Following these recommendations, we were asked by the HPNC Sub‐group to create the Custom HPNC Workbook version 7, which was used by every applicant applying for HPNC incentive funding from 2017 until the program’s cancelation in April 2019.
